Why a co-working is better than working from home or a permanent office

It's cheaper than an office: That goes without saying. When renting an office in a business centre you quickly pay €400 per month. Let alone that you want to buy your own office. If you like to work flexibly now - one of the reasons why many people become self-employed - or travel frequently, you pay a lot of money for a place where you're not present every hour of the day.

Every day networking: A strong network is not to be underestimated for both starters and experienced entrepreneurs. In a co-working you can build your networks. After all, you never know who is working next to you. Who knows, you might be sitting next to a potential customer, a sparring partner or an experienced entrepreneur who can give you smart tips to grow.

Social contact: If you work from home, you might have a chat with your dog, the plants or yourself. Hey, that's perfectly normal! But if you ever need another person to talk to, you can have a chat at the coffee machine or have lunch with the other co-workers. Or how about specific events or afterworks organized in and through the co-working space where you can get to know your co-workers even better or get to know interesting speakers.

Less commuting and more movement__: Thanks to a co-working in your neighborhood, you can leave your car at home. Mother Nature is grateful! Start your day well and healthy with a brisk morning walk or a ride on your bike. At home you might also just walk to the fridge to warm up your food, in a co-working you can walk around a bit more and maybe take a walk to discover a new neighborhood in your city.

Easy meetings: Admit it, a meeting with an important customer at Starbucks or a noisy brasserie isn't very professional. In a co-working environment, you can often rent fully equipped meeting rooms. You don't have to travel far and you're sure you'll be on time for your appointment. This way you can talk and negotiate with your clients in peace and quiet. And you do not have to worry about eavesdropping ears that may be present in a public place.

__ Boosting your productivity:__ In a co-working environment, everything is specially designed to help all visitors work as productively as possible: from ergonomic desks, phone booths, boosting coffee nearby to high-speed internet. You don't have to worry about a thing and everything is provided, while at home you may not have the right equipment or in an office you often have to pay extra. All you have to do in a co-working is pick your favorite spot and concentrate on your work. And watching people work also makes you work better and helps you concentrate, so feel free to sit among the other hard-working co-workers. Social control can sometimes be that extra push to perform the one task you've been putting off for days.

Flexible working: As a starter, do you only need a separate workspace one day a week? Or do you want to be able to work in an office space only after normal working hours? Or do you want to spend a few hours at a new workstation on flexible days? A lot of co-working offers flexible formulas, from working per hour to 24/7 access in the shared workspace.
